They say curiosity kills, and I’m worried it actually might as my cat can’t resist having a go at anything even vaguely edible!

Does anyone know what type of plant this is?

Hi Kira, I don’t recommend letting any pet eat your succulents – they have a possible side effect of kidney failure or damage, which can be incredibly expensive to treat, has long term damage requiring veterinary treatment and also heart break. Put the plant inside a bird cage for the best protection from cats, and offer something else for the cat to eat (like barley grass or other greens).

Your plant is Kalanchoe thyrsiflora, the Flapjacks plant, which you can see more about  here.

Hope that helps,
Jacki
