Hello!
I have had this plant for quite some time now and although it seems to be growing web-bier, it doesn’t look great. It may have come out of a potted mixture with succulents but I cannot for the life of me remember for sure. Every time I think that it is dead, more little baby buds start popping up on the stems.

I keep it under a glass coffee table with a cactus and a flourishing succulent, where it gets a fair amount of light. I am unsure if I am watering it too much or what is happening. If you could give me any insight as to what it could be so that I can properly care for it, that would be much appreciated! Thanks 🙂

Comments for what the heck is this thing…?

Whatever it is…

…it needs lots more light. Then it might stop doing the ‘stop/grow’ cycle. It could be some kind of Portulaca, which flourish in full intense sun. I recommend getting a grow light if you want to keep it indoors all year.

What I would do right now is cut off the ends and get some cutting started, then when the weather is warm enough get them outside. They will need to be slowly acclimated to full sun.

Here are a few resources to help;
