Succulent turning white

My agaves are turning white and dying. What is it and how do I fix it? Thanks

I'm not familiar with your conditions. I'm assuming that being in Florida, your temps are high, and so is the humidity. This can be a huge problem for plants that originate in DRY desert conditions, where the night time temperatures can go down really low, even if day time temps are scorching.

This could be the situation here with your Agaves.

I would encourage you to see if there are pups emerging that are possibly more adapted to these unusual conditions. The pups show at the base of the mother plant and can be pulled off or cut off with a knife.
