Small oval shaped grows on long stem sometimes white, sometimes green, climbs

I purchased this at a yard sale for only $3.00 but just love it but the tiny pieces fall off, although they don't die, they seem to root but would like to know what it is so I can care for it better.

Donkey Tail Sedum
by: Jacki

This is Sedum morganianum, the Donkey Tail Sedum. Yours appears to be needing more light, but the leaves falling off is a common trait - the leaves are only loosely attached and they fall and grow roots wherever they land.

This picture on Pinterest is a good example of a healthy plant of this species - something to aim for.

Donkey Tail

hanging baskets help with donkey tail cause you can move & water w out touching the tails. Also southern exposure or eastern exposure (All those dropped bits lead to multiple plants, I have two and some in my dish garden) strong light leads to stronger plants.
