Eucalyptus
Hi I have a Silver Dollar Eucalyptus tree, it is about 12 ft tall but the trunk is only about 10in in diam. We need to move it. Can I take a cutting of this to grow. We would like to keep the tree but want it smaller.
Regards
Melissa

Sorry to say that Eucalyptus is not an easy plant to propagate with cuttings. For professional propagators, it’s possible, with the right stock plants and procedures, as well as the right conditions, depending on the species. Trying to vegetatively propagate your tree might be possible, but you may in the end find that it’s not worth the effort.
There are companies that specialize in moving trees, using a Vermeer tree spade, which might be your best option if you just want to move it to another location in your yard.
Or, buy another tree, whether the same or a different genus altogether if you want something smaller.
