propagate huge pothos

Now, I know I know, "please don't slaughter it" you might say, but it's just soooooooooo oogly, and I really don't have any space left. Besides, I really want to keep that huge pole for future plants.

But before I do anything, can I have your opinion on chopping and propagating this giant pothos?

I want to cut in between each leaf and propagate each node, but I don't think I will get big leaves from the propagations, and I have understood that older plants have a bigger problem propagating.

Can I have a glimpse of what the future would look like if I decide to chop this massive monster?

Maybe I'd put like 6 or 8 nodes with leaves on each pot, idk

I hope I only get good answers hahahaha

Be brave! What's the worst that could happen? Often, plants this size (as long as they're healthy) will quickly put out new growth, and become more bushy and compact when pruned.

The size of the leaves is not important when propagating. Stems with smaller leaves may not root as quickly, but they will root and grow. Often, the larger leaves are just an indication that the plant got lots of fertilizer at a particular time in its life cycle.

I would do your second suggestion; larger cuttings with multiple leaves on each.

I actually meant adding 6 to 8 individual 1-leaf nodes to my soil mix`

Would it have less chance of survival if I separate them into 1-leaf nodes?

Why not do some of each, to make a bushier plant? So put one larger cutting and several smaller ones in a pot together. Then they support each other and give a micro climate.

How many plants can you use? Lots of times you just need a couple so you toss out the ones with less potential and only propagate those with the best chance of success.
