Perl von Nuremberg

Sprayed with alcohol solution for mites now it's shiny and edges are burgundy color. Did I hurt it? Location southern ca zone 10 plant outside in sun for now till summer heat gets here. Thank you.

A common problem

These plants have a protective coating called 'bloom' which is not a flower, but powder similar to what you see on plums and grapes.

Rubbing it off or otherwise destroying it (as you see here) doesn't hurt the plant. However, if you put it in full sun, it will get sunburn. Put it into a place with some sun protection from afternoon on, until the bloom grows back, which it will do in time. As new leaves emerge, they'll be fine to be exposed to full sun.
