What type of succulent do I have? I bought it at my local greenhouse and they called it a dinosaur succulent but nothing comes up when I Google that. I am also wondering if it is safe to be in the same house as cats?

Not a Dinosaur
by: Jacki Cammidge, Certified Horticulturist

There is no such animal, as far as I know. This is most likely Kalanchoe ‘Fang’ or some similar type – it’s got some sort of an issue so it’s hard to tell exactly. And yes, it’s poisonous to cats, but only if they eat it.

More on that here; poisonous succulents.

Hope that helps.

Kalanchoe Beharensis

I am sure it is a Kalanchoe Beharensis. From the photo it seem to be growing inside. I think it would do much better. outside in the Garden if it is not so cold.
