Hello:
I got interested in succulents and cacti about 2 years ago.I bought one grow light that had 2 LED tubes. That worked fine for me at the time as I was just planting seeds and starting them from seeds.

Last summer I decided to build a grow room in my garage which is attached to the house. I bought 3 sets of grow lights, each with 3 shelves. I put a sink in my grow room and that made it easier for watering.

Also last spring I ordered 40 succulent cuttings from California. As they rooted and I put them in pots I started taking cuttings from these plants. I also started purchasing plants from a small company in China. I have had great luck with the plants I get from there and they refund me for any plants that arrive dead.

I now have all of the shelves on the grow lights filled with plants and I have had to put some plants that don`t need direct light from the grow lights on other shelves. Also I am considering purchasing another grow light rack with 3 shelves.

I am 81 yrs old and I always enjoyed gardening so I seem to be having good luck with these plants and I am really enjoying it. I can`t identify some of the plants I raised from cuttings bought in California.

Hi Ervin, what a great way to keep busy and occupied! Thanks so much for sharing.

Funny thing, I am planning to move to Nova Scotia – it was supposed to happen last year, but Covid. So next spring, after everyone gets their shots.
