I recently noticed that new growth on two of my many ligustrum plants have curled up/wilted leaves. Any idea what this could be from or how to address?

Thanks so much!!!

Frost?

You haven’t said where you are, so here’s a question for you – have you had any frost? That could cause this type of damage, if the plants have new growth that isn’t fully hardened off. That’s why there is always the recommendation to stop pruning and fertilizing in mid summer, so the plant has a chance to mature the existing foliage. If it’s pruned too late, this can trigger it to send out more new growth, which is susceptible to frost or even abnormally cold temperatures.
