The plant has long flat leaves/stems. Blooms are soft, fragile, succulent, white and pink. Petals looks like tendrils
Hi Denise, without seeing the actual plant it's hard to tell exactly what the plant is, but from your description, I'm thinking that you have an Orchid Cactus.
You can see more about these interesting plants here: Epiphyllum. These are epiphytes and originate in high tree canopies in the jungle, not really what you would think of as a place to find succulent plants, but they survive off the mist and rain showers that run down the tree limbs.
Other similar plants are the well known Christmas Cactus, or Schlumbergera and its relatives, and the plant known as Queen of the Night.
The flowers of all of these plants are short lived, in some cases less than 24 hours, so it takes a sharp eye to notice when the blooms are about to open so you don't miss them.
