Two leaves on my flapjack Kalanchoe are getting holes in them. They are drying up from the inside it looks like, or something is eating it. These leaves were damaged from a fall years ago, but the holes are new. I have no idea what the cause is.

Long Ago Damage by: Jacki Cammidge, Certified Horticulturist This looks like long ago damage coming back to haunt you. I would take the leaves off, they are not going to magically cure themselves, and if it’s some kind of rot starting, you run the risk of it getting transferred to other healthy leaves. I don’t think there is anything eating the plant, other than the rot, so don’t feel the need to spray something. Just watch it, make sure it doesn’t occur again, and maybe water a little less (especially in winter). |
