I need to know how harmful these mushrooms are to my dog. I'm finding conflicting information online. They show up in the morning but are usually gone by the afternoon.

 Don't eat it

Although there are several identifying characteristics that need to be present to really identify any mushroom, these do indeed look like Psilocybe ovoideocystidiata, or American magic mushrooms. Do not allow your dog to ingest them.

Please do more research to identify them with certainty, and if in any doubt find an actual expert.

These mushrooms generally appear when it's wet and cool, often in the fall. Then they spore and go dormant until their next opportunity.
