My Dracaena Draco plant is losing its leaves but I am not sure why? I will leave the plant until the top soil is dry about an inch deep. Please help, is this something caused by my watering routine?

Typical by: Jacki Cammidge, Certified Horticulturist This growth pattern is typical of this type of plant – you often see them with a long stem and a bunch of leaves at the top, similar to a palm tree. So you don’t need to worry about that, your watering regime is not a problem. However, the pale leaves are indicating a different problem; lack of light. These plants tend to be happier with good light, as in, close to a window for the winter, and outside in partial shade for the summer months. If possible, move it to a brighter area, and/or get a grow light for it. More here on grow lights. |
