Curling sempervivum leaves

Curled Sempervivum

The bottom leaves have curled under. I removed it from the dirt to dry and am wondering if the bottom leaves will recover or should they be removed from the crown and that will be the new planting.

Fairly Typical

This typically happens in the spring, when the ground is over saturated from too much rain. The best thing to do is... NOTHING! They'll recover in time, as the soil dries out. If you were going to propagate the plant anyway, that's fine to do, but not necessary. If you see this a lot, maybe think about adding some pumice or lava rock to your soil in the area you have the Semps, to give better drainage.
