I’ve got some young succulents. They have a thin body near the base and fatten up an inch or two up the trunk. These don’t show it, they’re too young. They flower and seed on the trunk. Leaves are only at the top of the trunk.

Know what this plant is?

Euphorbia leuconeura
by: Jacki

Matter of fact, I do know what it is.

It’s called Madagascar Jewel, or known botanically as Euphorbia leuconeura.

You will need to know this information because these plants have caustic (poisonous) sap and must be handled with care. You can see more about it here; Trying to Find the Name of this Interesting Plant.

There is more information about this genus here; Euphorbia. Your plant looks quite deprived of nutrients, so you will need to start fertilizing them a bit.

Happy growing!
