trussing it up with web
towing it back to its lair
the bees continue as if nothing happened

I watched the bees on the Echinops ritro gathering nectar, but then suddenly, as one flew off with its pollen baskets full it bumbled into the web of a huge orange orb spider.

It only took moments for the spider to run out from inside its curled leaf lair, inject the bee with its venom, and as the bee continued to struggle, trussed it up like a Thanksgiving turkey. It dragged it off to feast on it later.

The rest of the bees blithely continued gathering nectar...
