unidentified succulent

The succulent has a thick stem with large fleshy leaves. Each leaf has tiny nodules that are sprouting stems and are plantable. What is it?

Hi Jen, this interesting succulent is one of the most common and easy to grow of all succulents. Kalanchoe are grown many times as houseplants, and this feature of the tiny plants forming on the edges of the leaves is characteristic of many different kinds.

I'm pretty sure this species is Kalanchoe daigremontiana or some related type, which you can see more about here: Kalanchoe daigremontiana. There are many other species which you can see here: Kalanchoe species.

Good luck finding out more about these fascinating plants!
Happy succulent growing!
