Unidentified succulent?

by Nathan
(Meridian, ID)

I got this in California from a Cactus guy but failed to ask him what it was. Its about 4 inches tall and has greenish bluish "leaves" with brown striping/marks down them.

Drought Smart Plants reply: Hi Nathan, this is one strange lookin' little dude. I have not a clue what it would be. Is there any way of getting a hold of the guy you got it from? Sorry I can't help, but I'd love to know if you find out more about it.

For general succulent care, see this page.

Best of luck with your funky succulent!

Succulent
by: Nathan

Unfortunately not. It was at a farmers market in a town that I was in for my brothers graduation. He has since moved back home. Thanks for posting it. Maybe someone will see it and know! As soon as I saw it I had to get it.

Kalanchoe?
by: Jacki

Hi Nathan, someone on the Drought Smart Plants Facebook page identified it as Kalanchoe rhombophila; unfortunately doing a search for that name has come up empty. You might want to check out this page on Dave's Garden Website: Kalanchoe rhombopilosa which is a close name, and looks very much like what you have.
