Blue Fox Farm's Drought Smart Plants

P.O. Box 596

Grand Forks, B.C. V0H 1H0

Price for plants on this page is $6.00 per 2" pot, or a collection of 9 plants $50.00 plus shipping. Sorry, my choice only, but I'll include plants from many plant groups in your collection.

Aloe andongensis - a gorgeous small scale aloe with very textural lizard-like foliage. Flowers are gold and orange hanging bells atop a long stalk. Use in mass, or in combination with other succulent plants.

Aloe castanea vryheidensis - large scale aloe suitable for a patio pot - majestic blue octopus arms and, if you're lucky, red flowers that hummingbirds love.

Aloe juvenna - small scale clump forming toothed foliage, bright green with white spots. Don't let it bite you! Sometimes also known as Aloe zanzibarica.

Aloe marlothii - heavily toothed with red spikes along the edge of each leaf. Blue green, mid sized.

Aloe vera - the burn remedy of choice for many people. The strappy spotted leaves contain a gel-like sap which eases the pain of small burns.

Ceropegia woodii - wiry, slender hanging stems sparsely clothed with puffy grey and red heart shaped leaves. Also known as rosary vine or hearts-entangled.

Cotyledon orbicularis - round fat sage green leaves with dark red markings.

Crassula rupestres - clump forming towers of stem clasping sage grey leaves.

Echeveria 'Black Prince' - gorgeous lush dark green to black lance shaped foliage.

Echeveria 'Captain Nemo' - huge thick leaves in a blue grey with flowers on a stalk that can tower up to 40cm. Unique and different.

Echeveria 'Curlylocks' - loosely arranged blue-green pale foliage on a mid sized rosette. Leaves have a wavy edge with pink piping.

Echeveria defractans x carnicolor - caramel coloured slender foliage on a well behaved rosette. Great contrast in a mixed collection.

Echeveria elegans - pale blue green foliage forming a mounded rosette – known as Mexican Hens and Chicks for the habit of making many offsets in a clump.

Echeveria glauca - lovely blue rosettes, clump forming with age.

Echeveria imbricata - large shield shaped leaves with a decorative pink edging. The rosettes form cups, and in time many rosettes will crowd together to form a clump.

Echeveria haagai tolimanensis - dark blue plump pointed foliage. Forms a cluster of stems rather than a single rosette.

Echeveria 'Jackie' - plump sword shaped leaves in powder blue.

Echeveria macrophylla - the name says it all - macro = large, phylla = plant. Burgundy foliage overlaid with pale coloured 'bloom' the powdery wax type substance that protects the leaves from sunburn.

Echeveria nodulosa 'Painted Beauty' - gorgeous purple and green striped leaves on a corky stem. Keep this one pruned back so it stays lower, otherwise becomes leggy over time. Very pretty accent.

Echeveria 'Perle von Nurnberg' - metallic purple grey wide spoon shaped foliage.

Echeveria pulidonis - slow growing rosettes of pale blue green foliage edged with pink pin stripes.

Echeveria racemosa atropurpurea 'Brown Sugar' - dark mahogany over green slender foliage. Slow growing and well behaved.

Echeveria runyonii 'Topsy Turvy' - sometimes called 'the upside down Echeveria' for the shape of the leaves. Very hardy, great for beginners.

Echeveria runyonii 'Rose V. Macabeano' - elegant slender foliage in a powder blue.

Echeveria set-oliver - plush velvet leaves, tinged with red at the tips. Very different from most of the rosette types, to add texture to your collection.

Echeveria shaviana - pale blue curly edged leaves in a rosette. Very pretty, like lingerie!

Haworthia cymbiformis - light green clustered rosettes.

Haworthia fasciata - corky white ridges on dark green curving sword shaped leaves. Very slow growing.

Haworthia obtusa x cooperi - chubby bright green closely packed rosettes.

Haworthia margaritafera - delicately marked dark green foliage.

Gasteria brevifolia - dark green straplike thick leaves with white spots.

X Graptoveria ‘Debbie’ - grey blue rosettes of upward curving foliage.

Pachyphytum ovatum - pale blue round puffy leaves on a chunky stem.

Pachyveria ‘Little Jewel’ - soft blue foliage.

Senecio mandraliscae - slender pale blue foliage. Interesting scent if the leaves are bruised, similar to larch sap.

Senecio rowleyana - also known as string of pearls, bright green pea like foliage clusters on long draping stems. Great in a hanging container.
