Stonehenge

by Alden
(London, UK)

Well, Stonehenge is not exactly a garden, but it left such an impression on me as a kid. My family would all pile into the old Hillman estate and go to a garden, castle or something of interest. Stonehenge was so mysterious to me, and you could feel the age in the stones. Today, I use the feeling I got there to design my garden, using some much smaller stones to make a henge. I don't have the knowledge of astronomy to make it tell the seasons, but I do go out there and sit in the quiet and watch the moonrise.
