looks like mine
by: JW

This plant looks a lot like a plant that I have and have always known as a Euphorbia. They can get very tall -as in more than 1.5 feet- and will need bracing because generally it is just the one “spike” with nothing to aid it in staying upright.

Monadenium
by: Jacki

Monadenium is one of those mixed up plants. Sometimes, they are lumped in with Euphorbia, and some of the members of both genera look a lot alike.

Some of them have leaves at the top at certain times, which then fall off, and the flowers emerge separately. Others have leaves and flowers at the same time. You’ll have to observe which type yours falls into.

Sorry I don’t know a lot about these plants, but a lot of people grow them and love them to bits, so there’s a lot of information out there on the web about them.
