Squat, 4 lobed dark green with white spots and central flower.

by Robin
(Czech Republic)

It's low to the ground, aBout as wide as it's tall. Symmetrical and formed from 4 lobes with sharp vertical edges.

It's covered with white spots and has what looks like a flower growing in the top, centre.

Drought Smart Plants reply:

Hi Robin, I know I've seen these plants somewhere, but just can't remember at the moment. I'm thinking that it may be some type of Euphorbia, similar to this one: Euphorbia on Dave's Garden Website or this other Euphorbia

Please find out for sure as many Euphorbias are poisonous, and also have caustic sap. See more on the page about poisonous succulent plants.

Cactus

This cactus is an Astrophytum. A young plant that will most likely develop more 'sections.'

Thanks Ronaele, I should have know that you would be able to ID it!
