As always, right at the last minute right before I pack it in for the cold weather, I get a swap that knocks my socks off. Here's what I got from a tropical plant grower in Ontario:
Sanseveria cylindrical
Crassula ovata miniature
Rhipsalis piocarpa
Rhipsalis noid
Rhipsalis cleptica (or eleptica)
Rhipsalis horrida
Rhipsalis / Hatiora
Dischida ruscifolia
Stapelia noid
Aloe tenuior
Aloe noid
Aloe noid
Gasteria noid
Gasteria verrucosa
Sedum c/b Nussbaum
Other noid succulent notched leaves
Graptopetalum noid
Ceropegia noid
Kalanchoe dagremontiana
Kalanchoe noid
In return I sent about 20 different plants or cuttings from my collection, some of which aren't listed anywhere in the website - so it's worth making the effort to set up a swap as sometimes the numbers that someone has aren't worth actually selling, but they're willing to send you a piece.
Cuttings of most succulent plants are easy to root, and the best part of all is that many of them prefer to be dry for shipment, and they're quite happy without soil. This makes them lighter to ship, as they can just be wrapped in newspaper or a paper bag.
Labeling is nice, but not essential, as sometimes the most common plants are obvious. Other times, not a problem if you're going to plant them into a mixed succulent container for the deck or patio.
Still waiting for a few more swaps to arrive, hopefully before the frost gets them!
