Sedum spurium ‘Tricolor’ – one of the few really nice variegated hardy succulent plants, with cream, pale green and pink foliage.
The new growth that emerges from the deep pink buds is almost white, changing to deeper tones with age. The blooms are a peachy pink colour in mid summer.
It’s great to drape over a wall with other green foliaged types, or in a mixed border.
Prune hard to keep the great variegated foliage fresh, and trim out any stray plain green leaves as it does tend to revert.
Use this as a nice contrast to the yellow flowered Sedum spurium ‘Fruland’ and the dark red Sedum spurium ‘Dragon’s Blood’ in containers or Sedum tapestry beds.
