Sedum kamschaticum 'Variegatum' small form
Sedum kamschaticum 'Variegatum' small form, like all its kin, originated in Siberia - this will give you an indication of it's hardiness. This form is small statured and slow growing, never invasive. Its pretty variably striped and splotched foliage is fresh and insect and disease resistant.
Orange yellow blooms cover the whole plant in summer. Ultimate spread is variable, depending on sun exposure and moisture, but well behaved and mounding to around 10cm. Preferred conditions are full sun exposure and well drained soil. Water until established, then allow to dry out between waterings. Little to no fertilizer is required, although Sedum kamschaticum 'Variegatum' small form do like being mulched with pebbles or lava rock.
In the spring as new growth emerges the whole plant blushes pink eventually to turn back to green with white variegation - very pretty. Use this great little plant in ornamental settings, trough gardens and rockeries.
