Pine White butterfly on thistle blooms
Those thistle flowers are really tasty!
notice the dark edges to the front of the leading wings

Another white butterfly, but this one is a native type. Varying in numbers, this one can sometimes have a population explosion, and cause defoliation in forests. Obviously from the picture, as adults they are attracted to thistles and other nectar plants.
