Ice Plants

by Diane C.
(Morristown, TN, USA)

Reminding me of a coral reef....ice plants blooming in a partailly buried strawberry pot....my favorite this year.

Oh, Diane, very cute! These are not the ice plants I know, which are Mesembryanthemum, or Livingstone Daisies; they look more like Delosperma. Do you know what they are? Inquiring minds...

These lovely plants are delosperma, which is commonly called iceplant in the US Southwest. Great color combination!

You are right, it is Delosperma. The common name is ice plant...plus it's a lot easier to say. :)
