Hanging plant. Small Dark Green leaves. Very small bloom similar in shape to a Dianthus.

This is the non-variegated form of Aptenia; this little plant is one of the best plants to grow in this way; not only is it trailing, and will continue to bloom for a long time, it is also drought tolerant.

Water well every few days, especially if it is extremely hot, but otherwise, it can get quite dry without any issues.

Of course, for the best blooms, deadheading (removing the spent flowers) is a good idea.

Pinch back any leggy growth and new shoots will emerge – never fear, this only makes it more compact and healthy.

Feed a couple of times through the summer with compost tea, or other chemical fertilizer. Mix to about half strength, or it has the potential of burning the roots.

Enjoy your pretty plant!
