book4-600x120

hi there,i recently got a stem cutting of echeveria plant. it was wrapped in a plastic cover and no soil. some leaves had dried completely but the plant still showed some tiny root growth. the problem that i am facing is that the stem is too small and i am not able to pot this. how long can this cutting go on with good strong root system and no potting. currently i have place this in a small vase filled with moist soil and just placed the stem on it.

Your Echeveria cutting will do better in dry soil, not damp. They also need really good drainage, so if your vase doesn’t have drain holes, you could potentially overwater it, which is guaranteed to kill it.

See more about how to grow Echeveria here, and maybe buy the book for more information!

Best of luck with your plant,
Jacki
