Echeveria runyonii 'Silver Onion'

Perfect plant, perfect name

Tightly clasping rosette, like a rose bud formed out of silver, eventually opening to a loose and flatter shape with age.

Echeveria runyonii 'Silver Onion'

The pale platinum colour and the pretty shape make this one a winner. Many of these lovely silver and blue species and hybrids will work together well.

I love the contrast of the soft tones and the texture of the foliage against the rustic orange tan of the terracotta pots that I use for the excellent drainage and air exchange that these plants require.

Combine in a mosaic with other pale coloured hybrids and species such as Echeveria elegans, Echeveria ‘Curly Locks’ and Echeveria runyonii ‘Rose V. Macabeano’ for a textural treat.

Eventual size is around 15cm (6-7") across.
